Haemi Sanctuarium Internationale
Media Art ‘ Wild Flower ’

What do you think this girl is looking at?

xpl has presented a media art piece titled "Wildflowers" at the Haemi International Pilgrimage Site's Digital History Experience Center.

The Haemi International Pilgrimage Site is renowned not only in Korea but also internationally for its significant heritage. During the long period of persecution in Korean Catholic history, many people were martyred. Haemi, in particular, was a place that experienced overwhelming oppression compared to other martyr sites.
The girl observing this piece might be a martyr from that time or someone like you today. xpl has explored this theme through "Wildflowers," aiming to offer a small comfort to those who lived 300 years ago. Through the "Wildflowers" that provided solace and unwavering faith in the vast fields of that era, we hope you can experience these sentiments through the eyes of the girl at the Haemi International Pilgrimage Site.

This artwork is composed of three sections.

The first section is titled "Spring Breeze," the second "Blooming," and the third "Wildflowers."
The first section evokes the sweet breeze of spring meadows, the second features a wildflower blooming in each person's inner space, and the third culminates in a vast meadow covered in wildflowers, ending with the image of a single cathedral.
